The rules of seven card stud
The following description follows the Rules of Casinos Austria.
General
Seven Card Stud poker is played with a package of French playing cards to 52 sheet two to nine people played.
The aim is to achieve the highest possible poker combination to maintain or through skillful way of playing the other players on the task to move.
Each player gets up to seven cards.

Split Limit
Seven Card Stud is rarely No limit, but usually played with split limit. The usual means staggering 5/10/20: The Ante is € 5, the lower limit is € 10 and the Higher Limit € 20
First betting
Before the start of a game, each player pays a basic contribution, the so-called ante in the pot, then each player receives from the croupier (dealer) two cards face down (hole cards) and a map open (Door).
The player with the lowest open card opens the first betting (betting interval) with the forced bet, ie he must use at least equal to the Ante bet, he must not exceed the lower limit set Split.
If two or more players show the same value after the cards have the lowest, it shall decide in accordance with the color coming from the Bridge series: It is cross or meet (♣) as the lowest color, followed by diamonds (♦), hearts (♥) and Spades (♠).
Number of increases per betting
In each betting round may use no more than three times increased, ie a player opened the round with a stake (Bet), this can now be increased (Raise), further increased (Reraise) and the betting with a recent increase (cap) to be completed. I.e. Lower Limit, the € 10, so is the use in the first betting without the Ante already paid a maximum of € 40
Second betting
After the first betting round each player receives a second card (Fourth Street), and it follows the second round of betting. From the second speaks of betting each player as the first one showing the highest combination of features.
If a player has a pair, it can be between the ante and the higher limit be set, otherwise it is in the second betting round or the Lower Limit.
The openers can be either
* Wait (check) and do not use active or
* Bet (bet), i.e. within the permitted limits (Limits) a bet in the pot to pay.
Wait, that player, it can also be the next player bet or wait, etc.
However, once a player has set the following player can only either
* Hold (call and respond) and the same amount in the pot, or
* Increase (raise) and a higher amount than the previous player set, or
* Stop (fold match) - in this case, the player his cards face down and this game is lost.
If one or more players, the betting as long as continues until all players have either
* The use, or have held
* Out of the game are out.
A player may be in the same betting use twice in a row does not increase, unless another player would have been between the two bids increased. So if a player with a round opening Bet or a Raise, and all of the following players will either hold or off, this is betting stops and the player who most recently the use has increased, can now betting on this not again increase.
Third and fourth betting
After finishing the second betting round each player receives his third open card (Fifth Street), and it follows the next betting. From the third round can only be between the lower and the upper limit will be split.
After the third betting round, players receive a fourth card (sixth street) and it follows the fourth round of betting in the same manner.
Latest betting
If the fourth round of betting ends, so each player receives, prior to this round "mitgegangen" is his seventh card (Seventh street or river) face and he has four open and three hidden cards.
If in the course of the last round, only two players in the game, whenever it may now be increased until one of the two players by the same drawing (Call) calls the show down. Ie the restriction on a Bet and a maximum of three increases in the last betting round, when only two players to the pot fight repealed.
Show Down
If there is after the last betting on a showdown, then the player who
* The last in the betting as the last increase (raise), or,
* If no one has risen, the one who in the past as the first set of betting (bet), or
* If no one has, the one who in the past as the first betting round has spoken,
his hand (his combination) completely present. The dealer is now out of his seven-card poker hand is the best combination of five cards and places the two unused cards face aside, these two cards have never influence the decision-profit.
All remaining players in the game can now successively gain their permission and also show their cards.
The player with the highest hand wins and gets the pot.
In the case of equivalent combinations is the pot split among the winners. The map has color - as is customary in poker - no significance in relation to the profit decision.
The pot can also be obtained earlier, if in a round all players to their cards at a store and give up (Fold).
Burn Cards
Before the first cards the dealer gives out, and before each subsequent edition cards, the croupier always the top card as the so-called burn card, face aside.
Basically the dealer burns the top card always. Has he no longer sufficient, ie the number of remaining players, plus two cards on hand, so he burned the earlier maps, mixed it with the rest and sets the stack parts continues.
The bottom card should never be given, if the dealer only the number of active players, plus a map in hand, it is exceptionally so no card is burned.
Annual maps, ie maps of players who left are no longer used.
The purpose of these rules is that the top and especially the lowest card of the stack as a result of the negligent attitude of the dealer's hand by a player to be recognized and that it could be an advantage.
Can not the dealer each player a card share, because he is also the lowest card or have less cards than there are players, so he shares a common card.
